The clash of Royals is on and it has gotten all of us excited. One of the most important and exhilarating matches of the season, the Qualifier/Eliminator 2 being played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Narendra Modi Stadium will decide who will reach the finale. Let us dive into RR vs RCB Live Match Updates in this article.

After winning the toss, Rajasthan decided to bowl first. Challengers came out to bat in the first innings and managed to score 157 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. They have given a target of 158 for RR to chase for the win.

After a good start, RCB just couldn’t keep up with the form and lost wickets at regular intervals. During the death overs, none of the batters could establish a partnership and it reflects in the total score as in the last 3 overs, RCB could only score a total of 18 runs at the loss of 4 wickets! The batting just couldn’t get through the bowlers and hit boundaries.

In the last five overs, the Challengers looked as shaky as they could get and only managed to score 34 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar who contributed 70 runs to the innings.

Chahal bowled the 17th over of the game and was successful in restricting the batters. Only 7 runs were hit in this over.  A total of 7 runs and a wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Mccoy.  This over changed the game in favor of Rajasthan completely.

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Prasidh Krishna who kept things tight, conceding just 8 runs and also taking 2 wickets from the over.  The final over was bowled by McCoy who handled it well. Just 3 runs and a wicket came off in the over.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore again seemed to have fallen prey to big game performance pressure as even after getting a decent start they could only manage to bring a total that might not be enough. Apart from Rajat Patidar and a little show of Maxwell, none of the batters looked prepared for Rajasthan’s bowling as they choked in the middle. Special credit to Sanju Samson for managing his team’s bowling so well and to the bowlers themselves who played incredibly in the innings. Prasidh, Mccoy, Bould, and Ashwin played a crucial role in restricting RCB to a meager score. Now onto their batters to do the rest of the work.

The run rate at the end of 20 over is 7.85. Rajat Patidar scored the highest number of runs, 58 off 42 by hitting 3 sixes and 4 fours at a strike rate of 138.
