We are in the final week of IPL 2022 and there are just a couple of matches left. Tonight we have the first eliminator that will decide who will play Rajasthan for the seat to the finals. Let us dive into RCB vs LSG Live Match Update: 1st Innings Update.

The match that started a little late due to rain, had Lucknow winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. Bangalore batting first scored a big total of 207 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. The team scored an impressive 123 runs in the last 10 overs.

During the death overs, Rajat Patidar and Dinesh Karthik utilized the opportunity well as they went on to score 42 runs in the last 3 overs. It was a great show of clean hitting by batters who looked in great form. None of the bowlers could make them feel uneasy with their bowling.

In the last five overs, RCB managed to score 84 runs without any loss. The highest partnership of the innings was between Karthik and Patidar who contributed 92 runs to the innings at a great strike rate.

Avesh Khan bowled the 17th over of the game and was unsuccessful in making any impact. 15 runs and no wickets came in this over.  A total of 8 runs and a wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Mohsin Khan which was a fresh change to see runs being hit in single digits. It is in this over where Rajat Patidar scored his maiden Hundred of IPL.

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Chameera who couldn’t keep things tight and got hit for 21 runs, the highest of the innings. The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Avesh Khan and it was another expensive one. RCB batters hit 2 fours to ensure 13 runs came off the over.

The way RCB have played, they clearly marked they came to win. Special mention to young Rajat Patidar who looked as impressive while reaching that 100. Dinesh Karthik must be credited for his special innings and form. Even when the big guns couldn’t make an impact, it was the young players who led the innings. LSG must play fiercely from early on if they want to win the game keeping in mind that they don’t lose any wickets.

The run rate at the end of 20 overs is 10.35. Rajat Patidar scored the highest number of runs, 112 off 54 balls by hitting 7 sixes and 12 fours at a strike rate of 207.40.
