Ravi Ashwin Is The Best Off-Spinner In The World: Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh and Ravi Ashwin are two of India’s top off-spinners. Ashwin came and made his name in the next decade, while the former dominated the world with his performance in the 2000s. Recently, in an Instagram session, the two spinners met up. They spoke about life, cricket, and many more during this interaction.

The Punjab spinner said that many people think that they have jealousy in between them. In their talk. Harbhajan clarified that there is not like that at all. Furthermore, he said that Ashwin is the world’s best off-spinner.

Ashwin is a legend in the making, says Harbhajan

“Some people say we have a lot of jealousy between us. Yet I like to say say that there is nothing like this. In the current world, Ashwin is the best off-spinner. I respect Nathan Lyon very much as well, “said Harbhajan.

The jealousy between the two spinners was very different. After the 2011 World Cup, the Indian captain at that time MS Dhoni sponsored Ashwin as the leading spinner for the Indian team instead of Harbhajan Singh. Bhajji said spinners do not get much support from the wicket because Leon is playing in Australia.

The 39-year-old said that Ravi Ashwin is fit and can be one of the world’s top wicket-taker, and he is a legend to his Tamil Nadu counterpart.

“In Australia, pitches don’t help spinners, but Ashwin’s a legend in making. Going forward, he just wants to be fit because he’s capable of picking up so many wickets. He’s capable enough to hold the record for taking most wickets in the world,” he signed off.

Ravi Ashwin is now 33, and can comfortably play another four and a half years in international cricket. He took 365 wickets and played 71 Tests. On the other hand, Harbhajan played the last of his 103 Tests in 2015 and he has 417 wickets in his style.
