Shaw responded to this question by naming his DC opening partner and Team India’s SwashBuckling opener Shikhar Dhawan. Since his opening with Dhawan, Shaw has revealed that the left-hander has been his favorite opening partner.
“Shikhar Dhawan because I have opened with him most,” Shaw said during the live session.
Shikhar Dhawan has associated with the Delhi franchise since 2019, and his addition has worked wonders for the Shreyas Iyer-led team. Delhi is third in the previous edition, and the franchise hopes to look the same in IPL 2020.
In 16 games, Dhawan has scored 521 runs – the fourth highest in the 2019 season – at a strike rate of 135.67. Dhawan is expected to play a crucial role in the Delhi IPL 2020 tour. Also, Shaw has congratulated the left-hander for making 353 runs in 16 matches. He scored two half-centuries in the IPL 2019, including a 99-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders.
