Mohammed Shami Slams Manjrekar Over Injury Criticism Ahead of IPL Auction

Mohammed Shami responds to Manjrekar’s injury criticism

Mohammed Shami took to Instagram to voice his strong disapproval of comments made by former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar about Shami’s injury history and its potential effect on his auction price for the Indian Premier League (IPL). During a broadcast, Manjrekar suggested that Shami’s past injuries could result in a decrease in his market value during the IPL auction. So let’s take a look at Mohammed Shami responds to Manjrekar’s injury criticism.

During the Star Sports broadcast, Manjrekar said“There will definitely be interest from teams, but given Shami’s injury history—and this recent one took a significant amount of time to recover—there’s always a concern about a potential breakdown during the season. If a franchise invests heavily and then loses him mid-season, their options become limited. This concern might lead to a drop in his price tag.”

In response to these comments, Mohammed Shami did not hold back and shared a sharp reply on Instagram. He mockingly called Manjrekar “Baba Ki Jay Hooooo,” showing his frustration. He also suggested that Manjrekar should think about his own career choices instead of sharing his advice.

In response, Shami posted on his Instagram story on Thursday, “Baba ki jai hoooooo. Thoda sa gyan apne future k lie bhi bacha loo kaam ayega Sanjay G? Kisi ko future janna ho to sir se mile,”

Shami often addresses controversies directly on social media, especially on Instagram, where he defends his professional integrity and responds to critics. This recent exchange has drawn attention and highlights the often straightforward interactions within the cricket community.
