Jasprit Bumrah Lauds The Efforts Of Health Care Professionals

The Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has backed the government’s 21-day lockdown in the battle against coronavirus. Bumrah, who was active on social media, took to Twitter again on World Health Day to thank the healthcare professionals.

Bumrah in his tweet said: “It is a day to appreciate every healthcare professional putting their life on the line for us. Now, more than ever, they need our support and the best way to do that is to stay indoors. A big thank you to all of them for fighting for us every day”.

Like other sporting personalities in the country, Jasprit Bumrah has urged people to remain indoors in combating COVID-19. Since the Indian Premier League was postponed the fast bowler is spending time at home.

Bumrah recently engaged in a friendly chat with Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma. The two went on to address the hardest obstacles they faced players who had a positive impact on their careers.

Bumrah told Rohit that Lasith Malinga helped him mentally improve, and taught him how to keep calm in difficult situations. They also made fun of Rishabh Pant who had challenged Rohit Sharma for a six-hitting contest during their chat.

Jasprit Bumrah made his return to the national side earlier this year after spending nearly four months in rest. He was back in the tri-match ODI series against Australia in India. Back in September 2019, the pacer had sustained a stress fracture in his lower back in the series against South Africa.
