India vs Bangladesh First Innings Update: In the thrilling Super 8 clash between Group 1 teams the Indian side after losing the toss fought very hard to post a decent total of 196/5 runs in 20 overs. The first innings had its ups and downs, where Virat Kohli came back to his form, but then Tanzim Hasan Sakib for Bangladesh picked up the crucial wickets and turned the tide in Bangladesh’s favor.

The Bangladesh skipper Shakib al Hasan after winning the toss did not hesitate to choose to bowl, and in came Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to open the innings. However Rohit and Virat started off pretty nicely, where they were looking to be dangerous, but in came Shakib who picked up the wicket of Rohit in the fourth over.

Virat Kohli was looking to be back in form where scored 37 runs from 28 balls before getting clean bowled by Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Shivam Dube also played his part with 34 runs. While it was Hardik Pandya who gave the perfect finish for India.

India Fought Back Hard to Post 196/5

First Virat Kohli’s quick runs and then Hardik Pandya finished it off with his wonderful fifty. But the middle-order batsman also played their part with small cameos. This combined effort from the Indian batters took the Indian score to 195+.

Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Rishad Hossain both picked up two wickets each, while Shakib Al Hasan picked up a wicket. Even though Bangladesh bowled really well, it was Hardik’s late flourish that took India’s score past 190.

Conclusion: Can Bangladesh Chase Down 196?

In the end, India posted 195/5 in 20 overs, where Hardik Pandya scored a brilliant fifty, while for Bangladesh it was Tanzim Hasan Sakib who stole the limelight from the Bangladesh co-bowlers. It will be a record chase if Bangladesh plans to win it, however, it will be a tough ask considering the bowling lineup of the Indian team.
