Opting to bat in the absence of regular skipper Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan went off to a steady start.

The second-wicket partnership between Babar Azam and Haseebullah Khan was setting a platform for the tourists to set a big total.

However, as soon as Haseebullah got out on 24 off 19, the men in green faced a middle-order chaos, and lost their next two in the span of six runs.

With 70 for 4 in 9.4 overs, the tourists were still in the game, especially the well-set Babar Azam’s presence at the middle, was a big relief.

Babar at 44 got trapped by Zampa during the 13th over when trying to hit a big shot. The visitors only able to add more 26 after Azam’s dismissal, as Pakistan were bowled out for 117 in 18.1 overs.

Aaron Hardie was the pick of the bowler for the Aussies with 3 wickets. Spencer Johnson and Adam Zampa shared 2-2 scalps each.
