IND Vs NZ 2nd T20I Weather Report

IND Vs NZ 2nd T20I Weather Report: India is all set to play against New Zealand in the second T20I, but will the rain gods permit India and New Zealand to play their game without interruption on Sunday? Let’s find out.

IND Vs NZ 2nd T20I Weather Report

The weather could ruin what everyone is hoping will be a thrilling game. At Mount Maunganui, there will likely be sporadic showers. Rain would undoubtedly play a major role because there is a 90% probability of precipitation. With an approximate 80% humidity, the temperature would also be on the upper side. The playing environment would thus be unpleasant.

The batters will have a challenging task overcoming the cloudy circumstances against the pacers. Due to the ongoing rain, the opening game of the series was previously cancelled.

India’s approach against Blackcaps without big players

It is time for India to start the rejuvenation process with some fresh players. As numerous senior stars, including, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and  Virat Kohli, are not available. The interim captain position has been given to Hardik Pandya, who may use it as a tryout for the permanent position.

Players who could play important roles in ending India’s drought for medals in the shortest format since winning the tournament’s first edition in 2007 could emerge from the series against New Zealand.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are expected to start India’s innings against New Zealand.

Both Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda will be vying to bat at position number three in the lineup. Suryakumar Yadav, the 360 degree player and the current ICC No. 1 batsman, will bat at No. 4. It will be intriguing to watch which of Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson gets chosen for the starting Playing 11. India might choose to field both. But in order to do so, Hardik would need to bowl as the fifth bowler.

Despite not being selected for the starting lineup for the T20 World Cup matches, Yuzvendra Chahal is likely to play in New Zealand series. As a way to strengthen the bowling attack, he might team up with Washington Sundar. The spin department also offers Kuldeep Yadav as a choice.

It will be up to VVS Laxman and Hardik Pandya to make the best selections out of the five pacers that India has selected for their 16-person team. Considering the long term, Umran Malik may re-join the Indian lineup, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar will lead the bowling department as the most experienced campaigner.
