IND Vs NZ series update 

IND Vs NZ series: New Zealand Cricket (NZC) on Tuesday unveiled the squads for the three T20Is and as many ODIs against India named.

Destructive opener Finn Allen is selected for the squad and is ready to play against India after being included in both New Zealand squads for the upcoming tour, which gets underway on Friday in Wellington. While Trent Boult was not named in the squad because he had earlier this year chosen to be taken off the central contract.

The 23-year-old Allen has already participated in eight ODIs and 23 T20Is for the Blackcaps, scoring a hundred and five half-centuries. Martin Guptill cannot play because Allen will remain at the top of both squads’ lineups.

The other major exclusion from the squads is Trent Boult; in his place, the speed bowling ranks are filled by Tim Southee, Matt Henry (just for ODIs), Lockie Ferguson, Blair Tickner, and Adam Milne.

IND Vs NZ series: Adam Milne returns 

Following his return to the T20 International sphere during the most recent Tri-Series and the 2017 ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE, Milne is set to play his maiden ODI since 2017.

It was never simple, to leave out the wisdom of Boult and Guptill. But the team had to keep looking forward said New Zealand coach Gary Stead.

“When Trent opted out of his NZC contract in August. We indicated that priority would be given to those players with either central or domestic contracts. And that’s been the case here,” he said in an official release.

“We’re all aware of Trent’s world-class ability. But at this time – as we build towards more global events. We want to give opportunities and experiences to others,” he added.

IND Vs NZ series: Henry Nicholls will replace James Neesham for last ODI 

Henry Nicholls will take Jimmy Neesham‘s place for the last game in Christchurch as Jimmy Neesham is excused from the squad for the third ODI as he gets ready for his wedding.

Due to injury, Ben Sears and Kyle Jamieson, both backs, were not given selection consideration.

Before going on to the ODI series in Auckland (Nov 25), Hamilton (Nov 27), and Christchurch (Nov 28).

The tour kicks off with a three-game T20 International series across Wellington (Nov 18), Tauranga (Nov 20), and Napier (Nov 22). (Nov 30).

Tim Southee is poised to reach 200 ODI wickets during the one-day series. He might become the fifth New Zealander to do so.

With Devon Conway remaining behind the stumps for the T20 team, Tom Latham will take over as the ODI wicket-keeper.

Kane Williamson as expected will handle the captain’s responsibility for both sides. The T20 squad gathering in Wellington on Wednesday.
