The World No.5 bowler Bumrah dismissed 4 of England’s top batters during his first 5 overs in the innings to provide an advantage to the visitors over the English side.
Bumrah outshined both of England’s openers in its first over itself.
First he bowled Jason Roy on the fourth bowl of the second over of England’s innings. Then he trapped the in-form Joe Root in his short and outside off delivery and at wickets made no mistake and took a catch to force Bairstow back to pavilion. That was a 2-wicket maiden over start by Bumrah.
In the next over, Mohammed Shami took the charge and removed the dangerous Ben Stokes. While in the next couple of overs, Bumrah first dismissed Jonny Bairstow and then Liam Livingstone.
