India Tour Of Bangladesh 2022

The Indian cricket team will visit Bangladesh in December of this year to play three one-day internationals and two tests.

The tour will begin with the white-ball series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, marking India’s first visit to the neighbouring country since 2015. The Test will take place at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, and then the two teams will return to the capital for the last game of the tour.

“The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the itinerary for India’s tour later this year which includes three one-day internationals and two Test matches of the ICC World Test Championship cycle 2” – an official statement was released by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

BCB President Nazmul Hassan, said: “The Bangladesh-India matches in recent history have given us some epic contests. And fans from both countries are eagerly waiting for another memorable series. I thank the Board of Control for Cricket in India for working closely with the BCB in confirming the schedule. We look forward to welcoming the Indian team to Bangladesh.”

Honorary Secretary, BCCI Jay Shah said: “I extend my best wishes to the Bangladesh Cricket Board for the upcoming bilateral series featuring India. The India-Bangladesh contests generate tremendous interest among the fans thanks to the massive fan following the two teams enjoy. We know how passionate the fans in Bangladesh are. And I am sure they will be treated to some exhilarating contests both in white-ball and red-ball cricket. With the crucial World Test Championship points at stake. The two Test matches are very important and both teams will go hard for the win.”

India in T20 World Cup 2022

Team India are currently in Australia as they are taking part in the eight edition of the T20 World Cup 2022.

The Rohit Sharma-led side is in group B alongside Pakistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and two other qualifying teams. The no.1 ranked side in the ICC T20 Rankings, India, will start the tournament as favourites.

The men in blue will start their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium.

Earlier, team India defeated Australia in a warm-up that boosted the team confidence as the tournament in is Australia itself.

India posted 186 for 6 in 20 overs, courtesy of brilliant batting display from KL Rahul and Surya Kumar Yadav. Both smashed half-centuries. In reply, Australia were almost there but during the final stage of the game Virat Kohli first removed dangerous Tim David with his rocket speed throw then took a solid catch at log on to remove Cummins.

Shami, who was bowling the final over gave just 4 runs and took 3 wickets to hand India a victory by 6 runs.
