INDIA VS BANGLADESH: T20 WORLD CUP 2022

The last meeting between the two teams at the T20 world cup was a classic. But rain could play spoilsport on Wednesday.

A T20 World Cup match between India and Bangladesh has the potential to be heated. Particularly if you recall what transpired during the previous tournament meeting between these two teams. Some of the players from the 2016 game are still around, despite the fact that many others have moved on and retired. Both sets of fans still have recent recollections of that match. Such games are also not forgotten by the participants.

IND VS BAN MATCH DETAILS:

India vs Bangladesh Super 12 – Match 35 –will be played on Wednesday, 2nd November 2022. Team India is currently in position 2 in the Group 2 points table with 4 points. Earlier, the men in blue were leading the points table but unfortunately, they lost to South Africa on 30 October 2022.

IND VS BAN: PITCH REPORT

The Adelaide Oval pitch frequently maintains its level character thus both bowlers and batters can hope for a brief period of solitude. Even by T20 norms, the average first innings score at this place is 180, which is quite high. Here, hitters can score some useful runs if they can stave off the bowlers’ opening onslaught.

However, the bowlers will be hoping that the enormous size of the Adelaide Oval would work in their favor as it is difficult to clear fence here, particularly the straight ones. The bowlers can rely on their variations to cause a false shot while the batters can target the square boundary for fast runs.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BANGLADESH: IND VS BAN

However, Bangladesh is unwilling to discuss Bangalore 2016, while India would want to think that they have improved and are now a more formidable force. Given the stakes and the fact that both teams have played three matches each, Wednesday’s matchup has all the makings of being memorable.

In their match against South Africa, India struggled because Lungi Ngidi made good use of the Perth pitch. KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda were free beyond the off stump as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Hardik Pandya attempted to lift the ball and were forced to leave the field. With little assistance from the other end, Suryakumar Yadav was the only one who stood out while attempting to salvage the innings with his impressive shot-making. South Africa stumbled a little bit with the bat, but David Miller brought them home, giving India some trouble going into their final two Super 12s games.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM INDIA: IND VS BAN

However, India has consistently outplayed Bangladesh, losing just one T20I against them in all of their meetings. They would like their top order to start putting up points so that they may focus on huge hits rather than rebuilding in the middle and lower orders. Additionally, India would like to see improvement in how their bowlers handle the later overs. Especially if they think R Ashwin may be a problem for Bangladesh’s left-handed batsmen.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh might believe that they have already lived up to pre-tournament expectations. They defeated Zimbabwe and the Netherlands but lost to South Africa. Bangladesh would welcome the warmth of two fought-for victories, despite the fact that it has put them in a difficult situation. They will undoubtedly be happy that they have a chance to still go to the semi-finals going into the India game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH FOR: IND VS BAN

Taskin Ahmed, who won two Player-of-the-Match accolades and eight wickets in the Super 12, is the star performer. Hasan Mahmud and Mustafizur Rahman have improved the fast-bowling performance by making significant contributions in the three games. Bangladesh, who have patiently waited for the left-arm quick to improve this year, depend much on Mustafizur’s return to form.

Also, Virat Kohli and Surya Kumar Yadav will be a concern for the Tigers in the coming game. if this duo stays on the pitch for long they will put good numbers on the board. Added in form batter Hardik Pandya can also show some good cricket in the game.

IND vs BAN: PROBABLE PLAYING 11

India (probable): KL Rahul,Rohit Sharma (capt), Virat Kohli, Deepak Hooda. Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik (wk), R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh

Eight batters looked superfluous against Zimbabwe as Shakib looked like he needed a fifth bowler. What will Bangladesh choose this time?

WHO WILL WIN? IND VS BAN

Overall, Wednesday’s game looks to be another memorable one, especially given the usual drama and emotions that have accompanied. In every meeting between these two teams over the past 10 years. However, India and Bangladesh would both attempt to ignore all of that, as well as the potential for rain. In order to concentrate on the task at hand: securing the two points.

Also, looking at the last few performances of both teams India in leading the board and carrying the winning momentum despite of loss against South Africa. Therefore, in my opinion, India is the favorite to win the match.
