South Africa best playing 11 for T20 World Cup 2024
Despite being seen as one of the favourites to lift the trophy, South Africa has always failed to win a T20 World Cup.
However, the new event brings up a new hope for the Proteas team to claim their maiden title. South Africa is included in Group D alongside Bangladesh, Nepal, Netherlands and Sri Lanka.
The squad looks quite balanced with some of the best hard-hitting batters and sound bowlers are part of it.

Looking at the team combination for the best playing 11, we may see Reeza Hendricks and Quinton de Kock to open the innings for the Proteas. Ryan Rickelton can be seen in a few games as an opener.
Skipper Aiden Markram is a perfect fit for the number 3 spot, while the middle order seems dangerous with the presence of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller.
Tristun Stubbs, who performed brilliantly in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), will likely come at number 6 to perform the finisher duties.
Kagiso Rabada will lead the pace attack alongside Anrich Nortje and Marco Jensen. Gerald Coetzee is the fast-bowling option and can play a few games depending on the behavior of the pitch.
Tabraiz Shamsi, the only South African part of ICC T20 bowers rankings, further strengthen Proteas line-up with his left arm wrist spin. While another left arm spinner Keshav Maharaj can also make it to eleven considering his current good form.
