Afghanistan has created history by securing their first-ever semifinal spot and now will take on South Africa in the semifinal 1. While it will be a 2022 World Cup semifinal rematch between India and England, as they both are gearing up for their second straight World Cup semifinal encounter.
When will the T20 World Cup semifinals take place?
The first semifinal will be played between Afghanistan and South Africa which will take place at Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on June 27. The game will start at 6 AM IST.
The second semifinal between India versus England will be played at Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 27. This clash will begin at 8 PM IST.

What happens in case of rain in semi-finals?
Well, there is a reserve day in place if the first semifinal will be cancelled due to some reasons. There is one more benefit that additional 90 minutes on the first day and 150 minutes (about 2 and a half hours) on the reserve day has been allotted for the first semifinal to be completed.
While there is no such provision of a reserve day for the second semifinal. There is an additional time of 250 minutes to complete the match.

And according to weather forecast, there is a high possibility of rain and thunderstorms during the match time in Guyana on June 27.
If rain interrupts play in second semifinal, India will enjoy the benefit of entering the semis as the top placed side from their Super 8s and will qualify to the final.
