Q. First Bhuvneshwar started off the interview by asking Suryakumar about his plans when he walked out to bat against the Netherlands?
Surya said that the plan was simple and hit boundaries at regular interviews. He was quoted saying “I just wanted to attack and build a partnership with Virat Kohli.”
Q. Bhuvneshwar then asked about the Shot Selection while playing in pressure situations?
He quoted saying “I calculated my shorts according to the ground dimensions”. According to Surya, he had a plan and he followed the plan.
Q. How do you play against relatively unknown sides like the Netherlands?
The Management takes care of these kinds of stuff, they usually show us the videos before the match and demonstrate the weakness and strengths of the opponents like the Netherlands and other lesser-known teams.

I was trying to hit the boundary from 2/3 balls and for the last ball I decided to hit it big, So I backed myself and went on to hit a boundary and reach the half-century.

“I wanted to keep things simple and take wickets for the team.” I saw how they bowled and there was no swing in the surface, so I decided to go with a simple plan to take wickets. But when I bowled 2-3 balls I saw the ball swinging, so then I decided to change the plan.
