Happy Birthday Josh Hazlewood: Today, he turns 32, one of the most special links in Australia. As soon as he made his Test debut in December 2014, the tall, accurate fast bowler with unrelenting line and length established himself as a mainstay in Australia’s attack.

On January 8, 1991, Josh Reginald Hazlewood was born. He plays cricket for Australia internationally. According to the ICC Men’s Player Rankings, Hazlewood presently holds the No. 2 spot in ODI, No. 1 spot in T20I, and No. 12 spot in Test cricket. He is a tall speed bowler recognized for his accuracy.

Hazlewood’s debut in Test Matches

During the home series against India in 2014–15, Hazlewood made his Test debut, and he did it at the Gabba with a fifer. It was a preview of what was to come as he progressively moved up the ladder to join Mitchell Starc as one side of Australia’s deadly new-ball attack.

Hazlewood’s credo was to maintain the fundamentals of line and length even though his partner was a lethal left-arm pacer who heavily relied on speed through the air.

In the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series 2020–21 against India, Hazlewood recorded his 200th Test wicket. As of 19 December 2020, he had taken the 17th-most wickets in Test matches for Australia.

Hazlewood was selected for the Australian team to compete in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in August 2021. He became the first bowler to be placed in the top 10 in all three formats (Test, ODI, and T20) in the ICC rankings in 2021 following the T20 World Cup.

In the 2021–22 Ashes series, Hazlewood was picked for the Australian team. Where he only participated in the first test match. Which was played in Brisbane, however, he claimed three wickets and two catches.

In the second One-Day International against England in November 2022, he was chosen to fill in as captain for a rested Pat Cummins.
