The scoring game witnessed 600-plus runs in a day, with Zimbabwe turned out to be better side at the end of the day as they won the game by 5 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

After setting 304 runs target and then taking up 2 early wickets, Bangladeshi players hoping to close the match as soon as possible, but Innocent Kaia and star all-rounder Sikandar Raza came on both with some other interesting script.

Kaia played a knock of 110 before getting back to pavilion. He left the field when the hosts required 50 runs to win in 49 balls, but then Raza took all the charge and help his side cross the winning mark by playing a quick an impressive 135* runs knock off 109 balls. He later awarded as the player of the match for his heroics.

The second match of the series will take place at the same venue, Harare Sports Club, on Sunday.
