The destructive all-rounder of New Zealand Jesse Daniel Ryder (Happy Birthday Jesse Ryder) is celebrating his 39th birthday today.

Ryder was born on August 6, 1989 in Masterton, New Zealand and is known for his aggressive batting and all-round performance.

During his international career, he has crossed the thousand run mark in both test and ODI cricket , including 6 centuries and 12 half centuries, and he has played a crucial role in guiding New Zealand to win many important matches.

Ryder represented New Zealand in all formats of the game and is a key player of his side for providing edge in game with his power hitting.

How he started in international cricket?

Making his international debut against England in 2008 in a T20 match. Ryder didn’t take long in cementing his place in the star-studded New Zealand side. He instantly became everyone’s favourite due to his impressive technique and solid power-hitting approach.

Ryder smashed 1269 Test runs in 18 matches along with scoring 1362 runs in the One Day International format in 42 innings. However, it is also true that the Masterton-born didn’t translate his true potential in the International circuit and the same resulted in him retiring early from the gentleman’s game.

One of the most paintable reasons he missed the majority of cricket of his career due to frequent and severe injuries.

The all-rounder’s life off the field was highly controversial as he twice got into bar fights and broke his hand once. Moreover, he also faced a near-death experience that nearly took his life.

Where is Jesse Ryder now?

There are currently no updates on the New Zealand cricketer. He most recently served as Napier Technical Old Boys’ player-coach. Despite not making a formal announcement, Jesse Ryder avoided competing in international competitions.

Earlier, he stated that he like indoor sport more than outdoor and he is enjoy the life at the moment.
