Without Crowd, Will I Be Waving The Flag Alone- Sudhir Kumar Gautam

Everyone Was Scared -Sudhir Kumar Gautam:

The most identifiable cricket fan of Indian is Sudhir Kumar Gautam. For decades now, in India matches, a thin guy who had trimmed head or a three-colored body paint. When something festive happens and he bursts his shell and waves a large national flag with his other hand, television camera diligently zooms on him. Sudhir has been used to care and life has been on the road.

He is in now in quarantine and he doesn’t care about the subject. He is seen with suspicion in his village Damodarpur in the Bihar district of Muzzafarpur. I Gautam, who was at the lock down of a friend’s house in Delhi in March, left to his home on 7 May. Gautam borrowed a 55,000 km old motorbike and covered approximately 1,000 km in two days after spending 55 days at the place of the buddy.

On the night of 7 May, Lucknow arrived and planned to sleep at the house of a friend. It wasn’t working.

“My friend neighbor residents made the scene that I might be carrying the virus because I’ve come from Delhi,” he said.

Gautam rode on. On the night of May 8, he reached Damodarpur, but it lacked the usual warmth of other villagers, whom he often gives to the Indian team memorabilia, was missing.

I am Not Meant For Those Things. They Don’t Understand:

“All were scared,” says Gautam.

Citizens protested that Gautam ordered Covid-19 to be checked and went into a quarantine of 21 days. Gautam was checked at the local health center for symptoms and no further testing was carried out because he did not exhibit any. He’s still in quarantine

On the phone, Gautam is starting to roll off the matches list he would have attended in the now-defeated cricket calendar, not for the virus.

When it is remembered that cricket is played when it returns, it will remain quiet.

“Once the matches are resumed, I definitely go. They might not let me, but I’m going to try, “he said after the break. “I’m going to contact Sachin Tendulkar Sir and he can get permission from BCCI through me.”

He shines on the idea. Tendulkar, the absolute idol of Gautam, arranges for the “superfan” many things, including facilitating his visa for trips to India.

“I’m the cheerleader when I’m in the stadium,” says Gautam. “I blow the conch and it’s thrilling to people. I scream out the lines of joy and people after I echo. Yet I don’t sit in the boxes, they issue me VIP cards. I would rather sit on the stands to lead the crowd.

Gautam, 39, does not love fandom at home. His aged parents and the family of his older brother live with him. They want to get him a job, marry him.

“These things I’m not made for. They ‘re not having it, “says Gautam. He wears Oakleys and Nike, but he has no earnings, gifted by athletes. He states that his bank account is empty. After Team India, he funds all his expenses through friends on the cricket circuit, sometimes with assistance from cricketers.

Gautam thinks that when Team India plays its first post-pandemic match it will be inside the stadium and his conch will declare the return of cricket. But he’s got another worry.

“Can I wave the flag alone if there are no crowds? “It’s telling.
