A similar incident occurred yesterday when a fan breached the bio-bubble protocol to get a glimpse of Indian skipper Virat Kohli at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahemdabad. During the third Test between India and England, an Indian fan broke all the barriers to enter the ground during the play. He was rushing towards Virat Kohli in a hope of getting a close look at his hero. However, the 32-year-old Indian skipper spotted the spectator rushing towards him from a distance. Virat Kohli, keeping the COVID-19 protocols in mind, stepped back and asked the arriving fan to return. The fan also realized his mistake and turned back. Soon as the fan started returning, the crowd in the world’s largest stadium started cheering for him.

When ANI contacted a GCA official about the fan breaching the protocols, he replied: “We will look into the matter and we will find out who the fan was. Some sort of action we will take as the matter is serious and the safety of everyone is of utmost importance.”
