Vizag Pitch Report for IND vs ENG 2nd Test

Will be the pitch be a good turner or a batting Paradise in Vizag for the 2nd test IND vs ENG ? After the loss in the 1st test at Hyderabad, the Indian side is looking for some firm plans the game to be played on the Vizag’s black soil pitch.

As the Stadium is offering a good pitch with a good bounce and pace to the batter to deliver to the stands even on the slow day of the test match.

But looking on to this Bowlers will have to face the run shower in the return. As England is playing with the Bazball, approach it can be a backfire for India. By giving them the good deliveries it will may be bad decision.

IND vs ENG 2nd test Pitch Report:

The pitch at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium Vizag is a batting pitch. The hitters will receive significant support when taking powerful shots. Bowlers will not receive much assistance throughout the bowling sessions; instead, Spinners will take some solid wickets. Batters will appreciate batting with less deviation and better bounce. It will make batting easier in the latter innings when the pitch matures.

England Playing XI –

Englands approach with the Spinners ?

The last time the England Cricket Team visited India, the Joe Root-led squad could not even last two days. They arrived at Ahmedabad in one and a half days. However, this England team is different.

They are confident in using sweeps, reverse sweeps, scoops, and reverse scoops to take on Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel respectively. And they’ll fight.

But can Indian batters fight on turners too?

On the other hand, Indian batters have a bad record playing under the spin bowling with the english.

India managed only 145 runs on a rank-turner Ahmedabad pitch in 2021, with Rohit Sharma scoring 66.

Similarly, Rohit Sharma scored a century on the Nagpur turner in the IND vs AUS series, but India needed Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja to score half-centuries each.

Hence, India has a problem. The current set of players are not as good spin players as Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, or Virender Sehwag were.

However, given India’s recent record on seam-friendly wickets, that appears to be the best option. However, this is doubtful. The remaining grass on the pitch will be highly rolled, and fractures are likely to form. India will likely to go with spin on this batting pitch.
