Former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag has successfully adapted a career of a cricket pundit since he retired back in 2015 from all formats of the game. The legendary player usually has his say about everything going around in the world of cricket and he seldom tries to put it in a funny way. Fans love this side of their favorite cricketer as Virender Sehwag never fails to deliver on their expectation. Throughout the latest edition of Dream11 IPL 2020 Virender Sehwag gave insights about the tournament through his show “Viru ki Baithak”.
Virender Sehwag Takes a Nab at Maxwell
The 42-year-old ace recently took a dig at his former KXIP teammate and Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell for his abysmal performance for Punjab in Dream11 IPL 2020. Virender Sehwag took his social media accounts to voice his “Players Ka Review”, based on player’s performance in the Dream11 IPL 2020. Sehwag’s alter-ego “Nawab of Najafgarh” handpicked 5 heavyweight players who failed to rise up to their expectations in Dream11 IPL 2020 season.
Sehwag’s “flop-list” included Bangalore’s Aaron Finch and Dale Steyn, Chennai’s Shane Watson, Punjab’s Glenn Maxwell and Kolkata’s Andre Russel. However, Virender Sehwag looked particularly disappointed with the 32-year-old Aussie as he went on to call him a “10 crore cheerleader” who got to enjoy a luxurious vacation at UAE.
Virender Sehwag added that Maxwell’s extravagant transfer amount turned out to be extremely costly for KXIP. Viru stated that Maxwell has been struggling to find his form since past couple of IPL seasons now, but hit rock-bottom in the latest season of the tournament.
