Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi applauded the Indian cricket team for their sumptous efforts against Australia in the “Border Gavaskar” series Down Under. PM Narendra Modi, in his latest ‘Mann Ki Baat’ episode, appreciated the spirit and character shown by the ‘Men in Blue’ in the Australian soil. The Ajinkya Rahane-led Indian side, despite of several drawbacks, managed to clinch the auspicious ‘Border Gavaskar’ trophy against the mighty Australians.

“This month, we got good news from the cricket pitch. After initial hiccups, the Indian team bounced back gloriously and won the series in Australia. Our team’s hard work and teamwork was inspiring,” PM Modi said during his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ speech as tweeted by PMO India.

Indian cricketers reply to PM Modi
The members of the Indian cricket team took pride in PM Modi’s acclaiming words in relation to their latest glory. Indian coach Ravi Shastri along with skipper Virat Kohli, vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, batsman Chesteshwar Pujara and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly thanked PM Modi for his kind words.
