Virat Kohli On Biggest Change in Team’s Culture

” When I got the captaincy in my hand, it took time to get the reaction of the team. It takes time to do everything and for this, you have to understand the players. From the first day, we had something – it is the mindset to win from any position,” Ahead of the first ODI against New Zealand Kohli told reporters.

” In the series we were 3-0, for everyone it was easy to judge their performances and take it easy. But, in everyone there was thrust to win 5-0, overall we have good players as in the big picture they have seen. Really hard work has been done by us and the result is in front of everyone. We are playing really good collective cricket as a team,” he added.

Rohit Sharma has been ruled out from the rest of the ODI series and Mayank Agarwal has been named for his replacement. Ahead of the match, the debut for Prithvi Shaw has been confirmed by Virat Kohli and he even stated that KL Rahul will bat in the middle order this time.

” It is unfortunate that Rohit cannot be part of the ODI series. Prithvi is going to start, in ODI cricket. In the middle-order, KL Rahul will play. To keep play in the middle we want him to get accustomed,” Virat Kohli told reporters.
