Tally Chart Of England Post West Indies Series Win

England Registered Their Second Consecutive Victory:

Earlier today, West Indies may have lost (1-2) the three-match Test series against England but have won immense respect among the cricketing fraternity for willingness to travel to England in the midst of a global pandemic.
With this series resuming international cricket after the COVID-19 break, one has to give it to West Indies for taking this courageous move as their bravery is highly likely to pave a way for others to play international cricket in the coming months.

Having began on an optimistic note, West Indies lost control of their strengths halfway as losing two consecutive test matches ensures that England has won the Wisden Trophy that will be called the next time these two sides meet.

Chasing a 399-run target on Day 5, West Indies batsmen showed little resistance at all as they were bundled out in 37.1 overs for 129. For England, wicket-takers with five and four scalps were Chris Woakes and Stuart Strong, respectively. To 34-year-old Broad, who was just the fourth fast bowler to pick 500 Test wickets, it was even more special day.

ICC Test Championship Table:

England (226), who had been ranked fourth behind India (360), Australia (296) and New Zealand (180) in the inaugural ICC World Test Championship points table before the start of this series, replaced New Zealand in third place after collecting 80 points for their two Old Trafford victories against West Indies.

Having played a maximum of 12 matches in the tournament so far, England has to start accumulating points for the next round, i.e. the final match, would qualify only for the first two teams on the points table.
While Pakistan (140) and Sri Lanka (80) are at the fifth and sixth position respectively, South Africa and Bangladesh are at the bottom of the table on the back of 24 and no points to their name respectively. West Indies, meanwhile, continue to be at the seventh position with a lone victory in five outings.
