Suresh Raina Admired Dhoni’s Captaincy
Suresh Raina is a former India batsman who feels that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the best captain India ever had and the one who changed the face of Indian cricket like anything.
MS Dhoni and Raina play for Chennai Super Kings which is also led by the former skipper. He took retirement from Test cricket but his future in the ODIs and T20Is is a subject of serious talk.
Dhoni Led India To Win World Cup
Dhoni led India to win the World Cup in the year 2011 and the T20 World Cup in 2007 under his captaincy. And now he has taken a break from cricket after India lost the semi-final against New Zealand in World Cup 2019 in England.
But now he is all set to play again in the IPL where he will be the skipper of CSK. The IPL is going to start on the 29th of March.
New Talents In CSK
Raina also showed his excitement for playing with the new players that the franchise has bought.
He said that this year they are having a lot of new talents in their team.
A player like Piyush Chawla is there, then Hazelwood, Sam Curran, and also Sai Kishore who have been bowling really well. Thus, having this combination of youngsters and seniors will really help the team to win.
Dhoni and Raina played a good number of matches together both in national cricket and IPL. And he enjoyed some of his best days in Indian cricket under the captaincy of Dhoni. He might be out of international cricket, but he would get to play under Dhoni again as the IPL season 13 begins.
