India is set to host the upcoming ICC T20I World Cup and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly is looking forward to making it one of the best-organised event. Former Indian cricketer Ganguly is optimistic about “hosting the best-ever ICC T20 World Cup” later this year in October and November.

As per Times of India, Sourav Ganguly has mentioned the aforementioned details in his letter which he sent to the presidents and secretaries of all the state associations on April 2nd. Sourav Ganguly wrote the following letter while inviting the dignities to the inaugural match of IPL 14 between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challenger Bangalore which is scheduled to be played on Friday, April 9th.
“I am hopeful that in the coming season, we will be able to get back to normalcy and have the full domestic season and host the best-ever ICC T20 World Cup,” Ganguly has written.
He has also assured all the state units that the BCCI is keen to organise domestic tournaments for the under-19 boys in June and July, provided the covid-19 situation doesn’t get out of hand.
“All the international and domestic players deserve immense credit for staying in a bio-secure environment for such a long period of time and yet delivering such high quality and wonderful cricket,” wrote Ganguly.
