Pakistan’s former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has appreciated team India’s performance in the 3rd twenty 20I against Bangladesh on Sunday in Nagpur. He said India has proved “ who is the boss”.
Previously he has uploaded a YouTube video by saying India might have lost the first match but Rohit Sharma the stand-in captain played very well in the second match which helped them level the series. The 44-year-old Shoaib feels Bangladesh has also improved its performances in the past few years.
In Shoaib’s latest video, he said, “India proved who is the boss in the match, they lost the first match against Bangladesh, but then when Rohit Sharma returned to the second T20I to play long innings, he’s a great talent, can score any time.”
“In the third T20I we expected it to be a good contest, though it was one, India came out as a much better side and hats off to Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a team to beat, by the way, they are no ordinary side, this is not the same Bangladesh side which played 20 years ago. This is a side who will be challenging to you,” Pakistan’s former skipper added.
India leads the World Test Championship (WTC) standings with 240 points after five matches. India has won its first five matches in the championship which were against West Indies and South Africa. The series against Bangladesh will be a chance for India to further consolidate its lead in the championship.
