Sam Billings Shaves His Head To Help Raise Funds Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

With the spread of the coronavirus, the world stopped. The majority of sporting events, starting from the Tokyo Olympics to the Indian Premier League, have been suspended or postponed due to pandemic. There have been more than 7 million cases, with 37 million deaths in the world.

Amidst the lockdown status in most countries, a lot of cricketers are currently spending their time on social media. From fan interactions, live video sessions, and question & answer sessions, cricketers resort to every available method to kill their idle time. Meanwhile, many cricketers have also stepped up to help in the war against the pandemic and have contributed a massive amount of tough situations.

Kent Cricket also shared its new look post, and Billings tweet with a link to Headshave so that the desired amount can be donated to charity.

Sam Billings‘ move has been praised by many fans on Twitter, and Australia’s David Warner has also joined the list by shaking his head in support of survivors of crisis.

“I was nominated to shave my head in support of those working on Frontline #COVID -19. I remember my first time doing this. Like it or not ?? “In addition to sharing his new look,” Warner wrote on Twitter.

At a time when a coronavirus defeat was hitting the whole world, many cricketers, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, and Ajinkya Rahane, came forward and donated relief funds. The BCCI, one of the leading cricketing organizations in the wake of the pandemic, has also come forward and gave a massive sum of Rs 51 crore. Given the current situation in the world, the possibility of watching the IPL 2020 cricket action is unclear.
