Ashwin grabbed three wickets on Tuesday in the 39th match of the IPL 2022. Ashwin needed one more wicket to surpass the 150-wicket mark before the contest began. After dismissing RCB’s Rajat Patidar, he completed the feat. Suyash Prabhudesai and Shahbaz Ahmed were then returned to the pavilion by him. In the IPL thus far, the RR off-spinner has 152 wickets.
In the IPL auction 2022, the Rajasthan Royals purchased Ashwin for Rs five crore. He became a valuable member of the RR team. With leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, Ashwin has developed a devastating spin duo.
In today’s match, RR won by 29 runs over RCB. RR scored only 144 runs in 20 overs when batting first. After scoring only nine runs, in-form opener Jos Buttler returned to the pavilion. Devdutt Paddikal was removed for seven runs after failing to reach double figures.
