Match Takeaway
Seeing Wood in such form is great news for England ahead of the T20 World Cup. England also had another hitter in Harry on their team now.
The game ended predictably as Pakistan escaped being bowled out. This should be their one positive takeaway from this encounter. Though, they have to work hard on their middle order.
What POTM said:
Player of the match, Harry Brooks scored 81 off 35. In post-match presentation, he said, “It was very nice to get out there and have a match-winning performance tonight. It was quite similar to the other night. Every pitch has been fairly similar. Just hitting through the line of the ball and trying to play on the front foot as much as possible, really. I was just trying to get [Duckett] on strike – he’s so good against spin, it’s ridiculous.”
The team will now meet on 25th September, Sunday in Karachi. England will try to move toward clenching series. On the other hand, Pakistan will try to cover the lead.
