Indian skipper Virat Kohli has yet again found himself at the receiving end of some online trolls. This came after Virat Kohli’s appeal to not burst crackers on Diwali this year. Virat Kohli was recently criticised for his decision to leave team India in between their critical Test series in Australia to join his pregnant wife in January. The 32-year-old has now added to his share of controversies after his “anti-crackers” statements.
Virat Kohli recently posted a video on his social media accounts wishing his fans on the occasion of Diwali. In the video, the skipper can be seen asking his fans to avoid burning the crackers while celebrating the Hindu festival following the Coronavirus outbreak and keeping in mind the ill effects of crackers on the environment.
However, Virat Kohli’s statement didn’t go down well with plenty of fans online. People who got offended by Virat Kohli’s statement started digging in the superstar’s past and found photos where the batsman can be seen bursting crackers wearing an RCB jersey. Adding to that, a certain video of crackers being burst during Virat Kohli’s 32nd birthday party in UAE also went viral on Twitter. In the video, Virat Kohli along with his teammates can be seen enjoying the fire show in Dubai

RCB Arrives in Support of their Skipper
Virat Kohli’s IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore came in favor of the player in an attempt to save their skipper’s face. RCB’s official Twitter account penned down the clarification while wishing their fans on Diwali.
Hope you are all enjoying a happy and peaceful Diwali with family and friends.🪔 To clarify, the fireworks shown in RCB’s recent celebratory video was archival footage of UAE’s Flag Day celebrations. RCB continues to work hard to protect the environment like we’ve over the years.
