National selectors will meet in Delhi to select the Indian squad for upcoming matches in January.
MSK Prasad and his Central Zone colleague Gagan Khoda will pick teams for both series and unfortunately, this will be the last selection team by MSK Prasad. As the new chairman of the selection committee along with a panel member to be announced at the start of January.
MSK Prasad did a great contribution to the Indian team selection process until now. I hope he continues his contribution in selection for some more time.
Jatin Paranjpe, Sarandeep Singh and Dewang Gandhi will be continuing their work under BCCI President Sourav Ganguly.
Kohli is going to join and discuss a selection of the team through video conference. All set to pick the team for the upcoming series on Monday afternoon in Delhi.
India is scheduled to play 3 T20’S against Sri Lanka and 3 ODI’S against Australia.
As Bumrah was seen in a practice session in Visakhapatanam, there are more chances to include him in the 1st T20 against Sri Lanka, at least he will be selected for the ODI series against Australia. He will play after a gap of four months with the Indian Squad. Bumrah was asked by NCA director Rahul Dravid to get his clearance on his fitness.
Shikar Dhawan also looking fit but he has to play some domestic matches to get back into his good form. Deepak Chahar, who got injured in the second ODI against WI at Vishakapatnam has fewer chances to consider in these upcoming matches. This will affect the bowling lineup of the Indian team.
Let’s see which players will get a chance in the Indian team for upcoming series against Sri Lanka and Australia.
