Prem Kohli, Virat Kohli’s father, expired in 2006, and he was unable to witness his son serve India. Kohli also has spoken out about his father when asked if he still misses him.
Until today, the Indian batting great speculates about what could have happened if his father had stayed with him. He even claimed that he thinks of his late father whenever he sees his daughter as well as sees the joy on his mother’s face.
“He hasn’t seen me play for India. Now with our daughter, I see the happiness in my mother’s face. You sit down and think, what if he was here,” said Kohli during a chat with Dinesh Karthik.

Dinesh Karthik, India’s experienced cricketer, took to Twitter to share small footage of him conversing with Virat Kohli. Karthik posted that he discussed fatherhood, spirituality, his personal life, social networks, and the Indian cricket team with the world’s greatest cricketer.

Virat Kohli’s future appearance on the cricket pitch will be on August 4, 2021, when he will captain India in a five-match Test series versus England. The first Test among these two teams will take place at Nottingham on August 4, 2021. This difficult Test series versus Joe Root and his men will be the Indian team’s first task in the World Test Championship’s 2nd cycle.
