MS Dhoni Cricket Academy Starts It’s Online Classes

Coronavirus Has Brought The Complete World To A Standstill:

The epidemic of the coronavirus has brought everyday life to a standstill worldwide. All sporting events around the globe were called off or indefinitely postponed. As a result, work or any business from home has become compulsory for many people.

The MS Dhoni Cricket Academy has started regular classes on Facebook live with India under a full lockdown due to coronavirus crisis. The MS Dhoni Academy was launched in 2017 and now it has over 5,000 trainees across the country in 25 centers. The MS Dhoni Academy is managed by Aarka Sports Private Limited, the company that also handles the commercial interests of the former India captain.

MS Dhoni is a stakeholder but is not directly active in the academy’s operations. And in his manner, he’s someone who’s really hands-on. According to Aarka Sports officials, Dhoni has also approved content from the Facebook live program which started on Sunday (April 5).

Mihir Diwakar, who is Aarka Sports ‘Managing Director, said they had not planned this online manual for such a general shutdown. Diwakar added they had been working on it for about a year and this break gave them the chance to launch it. He also said that Dhoni, like most of their projects, went through the specifics of the initiative and approved it, adding that they would consult him at the planning stage and then finalize after he gave his suggestions.

The centers of MS Dhoni Academy are mostly located in central, northern, and eastern India. They planned to expand the MS Dhoni Academy to include Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hosur, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the plan was stalled.

The MS Dhoni Academy also has a learning app called Cricketor which can be used by students when they are cut off from net practice and daily drills. They’re happy to run the half-an-hour class live on Facebook for about a month. Work is to develop more. The start has received a positive response in the first three days, with more than 25,000 views. Divided into U-11, U-13, U-15, U-19 and U-23 categories, trainees don’t have to pay additional fees for online courses.
