Michael’s Vaughan Predicts The Probable Winners of T20I World Cup

According to Michael Vaughan, the former England captain, the probable winners of the T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in October – November 2020 in Australia are Australia and England. The Indian cricket fans were not happy with Michael Vaughan for not choosing India among his favorites.

On Sunday England recorded victory against New Zealand in the five-match T20I series. According to the ICC’s latest rankings in T20I, Australia stood at the second place in the table by defeating Pakistan and Sri Lanka at its home. England was in the 3rd position in the T20I series.

India has been ranked 5th in the ICC’s shortest format table since the beginning of 2018. Though India defeated South Africa and West Indies at their home grounds, they lost to Australia and England. Recently, India won a T20I series against Bangladesh.

England and India have won T20 World Cup once each; Australia has not yet won

Under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India won the inaugural edition of the T20I series in 2007. England, on the other hand, won it under the leadership of skipper Paul Collingwood in 2010. The T20I World Cup is scheduled next year during October-November 2020.
