ABOUT THE MATCH
The Netherlands will try again to get their Tri-Nation Series’ campaign underway against Scotland after their first T20i against the hosts was rained off. The match will take place at Malahide on September 16.
The Dutch have added a few more experienced players to their squad compared to the team beaten heavily in the UAE. Stars like Ryan ten Doeschate, Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann will not join up until the T20 World Cup qualifier, however, leaving the Netherlands still a little light when it comes to senior players.
Scotland, by contrast, has named 14 players who will all fly out to the UAE after this series. Only Josh Davey does not feature of the squad selected for the T20 World Cup qualifier. Scotland lost their most recent T20i to the Dutch, but it was their experienced players who starred in a double victory in Amstelveen in last year’s meetings.
TOSS PREDICTION
PITCH AND CONDITIONS
There is only a very low chance of rain forecast after the first match was called off, but conditions are still set to be cloudy, cool and overcast in Malahide.
It is a balanced wicket at Malahide usually, but there is likely to be some dampness in the outfield and the pitch could be a little slower than usual too.
