Lockie Ferguson Reaction On Coronavirus After Isolation

Lockie Ferguson Feels a Bit Exaggerated:

Lockie Ferguson, New Zealand bowler, feels a bit exaggerated about the things happened after announcing a sore throat, leading to the COVID-19 test and then isolation in his hotel room.

Ferguson has played the first ODI match on Friday against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground. After the match, he has placed in isolation after complaints of a sore throat. He experienced coronavirus tests on Saturday, which returned negative, cleared the doubt. He back with his family and thinks it has blown out of small difference.

At the Auckland airport, he said to reporters, “No. Probably a bit exaggerated as to how I was. I had just very, very mild cold symptoms and the procedures which are followed by Tommy(Simsek, physio) and the support staff is understandable. So yeah, I had a day in the hotel room by myself.”

Nearly 6000 people have died by the coronavirus outbreak, and close to 1,60,000 people across the world are infected. The pandemic has spoiled the sports calendar. It is driving to either abandonment or suspension of events in the Olympic year. Like other sports, cricket also effected.

We Were Disappointed With The Match Which Has Played Behind Closed Doors:

Ferguson returned home by the cancellation of the ODI series against Australia. The first match of the ODI series has played behind closed doors. The Kiwis said, “It was strange that playing the match under the situations and behind the closed doors. Sure, that was a different experience.”

“As well as, we were disappointed with how the series ended up. And yeah, that night, I was taken to get swabs and talked to the doctor there, and luckily, everything was normal, and yeah, I am happy to be home.”

If anyone asks how quickly the coronavirus had spread across the world? “In my point of view, I just thought it was normally cold symptoms. Get rundown from time to time, playing cricket and moving around the world. So it was not strange to me. But as I said, Tommy, our doctor, and the other doctors followed the procedure as needed.”

“So Yes, I had been 24 hours in observation of isolation. But that’s okay. To be honest, I felt good the next day when I woke up, and now I am fine.”
