The Fast-Bowling Trio Of New Zealand
The fast-bowling trio of the New Zealand team bagged some special praises and compliments from their skipper Kane Willamson. Tim Southee, Trent Boult are top-class players in the team and Kyle Jamieson who made his debut in the match, got huge admiration from their captain after their victory against India in Wellington.
They took 18 wickets out of a total 19 on the home side in the Test. Their aggressive bowling attack didn’t allow India to score at least a 200 in either inning.
Besides this amazing bowling form, they even contributed 88 runs with their batting also in New Zealand’s first innings. Thus helped their team to a 183-run lead.
Huge Appreciation By Kane Williamson For The Trio
In the post-match presentation, Williamson mentioned all the three players separately and praised them regarding their performance in the Test.
Kane said that Kyle Jamieson was brilliant, he has come and made valuable contributions in the Tests throughout the summer. Thus it was a great debut for Kyle as he contributed in a number of ways.
While praising Southee, he said that the player just wanted to operate the best way he does.
And regarding Trent Boult, Williamson said having Boult at the other end would’ve been a great thing.
The left-arm and right-arm combination of the two players have been very much successful for the New Zealand team for a long time. And the duo showed it, especially with the older ball.
India’s Capability To Bat
Williamson also stated that it is well known to them that India has the capability to bat for days, so the patience and energy both Southee and Boult showed was great.
The New Zealand skipper made a massive score of 89 in 153 balls but later dismissed by Shami’s delivery. Kyle Jamieson scored 44 off 45 while Trent Boult managed to make 38 in 24 balls.
