“It Is Time For Blame-game”- Furious Shoaib Akhtar Asks For Accountability After PSL Gets Suspended

Premier pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar has lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) authorities for the suspension of PSL season 6. 45-year-old Akhtar asked Pakistan’s cricket board to own up for their negligence. The rise of the COVID-19 cases amongst the players and the PSL staff has been cited as the reason behind the suspension of the T20 league.

Shoaib Akhtar went on a rant on his Youtube channel

Akhtar strongly suggested that the medical panel be blamed for the spread of the disease. He also added that PCBs should inflict a strict inquiry against the ones who are responsible for the mayhem. He requested the board to punish the members of the medical staffs to put the life of the players in jeopardy.

“It is time for blame-game. But you have to admit that this the responsibility of the medical panel and the bio-secure bubble should have been properly maintained. There should be strict inquiry against the medical panel.

Akhtar backs PCB’s CEO

Shoaib Akhtar stated that the CEO of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Wasim Khan has been taking all the blames for the mistakes of others. Akhtar opined that chairman of the PCB board Ehsan Mani should be held accountable for the suspension of the league.

“All the blame has been put on Wasim Khan, and he has been asked to face everything. Who has brought Wasim Khan? Ehsan Mani (brought him). Where is Mani Sahab? Is this the responsibility of Wasim Khan to answer here? Ehsan Mani should give the answer,” stated the 45-year-old.

Akhtar went on to add that Wasim Khan is the only person who wants to help Pakistan cricket. “No one should have doubt’s incompetence. Only Wasim Khan is logical, and he is the only one who wants to help Pakistan cricket… Now, it is the responsibility of Wasim Khan to look after the medical panel. Earlier also, I asked Wasim Khan to change the medical panel so that such a situation does not happen,” concluded the former Pakistan pacer.
