Current Form: Mumbai Indians
The league’s most successful side has struggled the maximum this season. They have just won 3 games of the 13 they have played so far. Mumbai started the tournament in the worst possible note. They kept on losing games until it was too late. The famous Mumbai heist wasn’t meant to be this time around. They became the first team to lose their first eight opening games. Mumbai finally managed to win in their ninth game.
They managed to win two games in a row defeating table-toppers, Gujarat Titans. But MI soon returned to the losing side when they came up against KKR. They did manage to win against CSK but lost a close game against SRH. MI will be wanting to win their last game this season for their fans especially. They will be aiding a lot of other teams if they manage to do so.
Current Form: Delhi Capitals
The Delhi Capitals finally managed to win two games in a row. Their campaign was heading nowhere with alternative wins and losses in every game. Delhi had managed to win just 5 games out of their first 11 matches. They were laid low with off-field issues too. Their fiery opener, Prithvi Shaw, missed most of the games in the second half. They needed something special to turn their campaign around.
Delhi put a spirited performance against the Rajasthan Royals. They restricted them to a below-par score first. DC later went on to clinically close the game. Mitchell Marsh, their big hope this season finally managed to come good in that game. He continued his good form in the following game against Punjab Kings. DC bowled brilliantly to restrict Punjab. It was the first time that they managed to string two wins on the bounce. They have their fate in their own hands as they play their final game against Mumbai.
