Top 10 Bowlers End Of Week Seven: The bowlers are now turning games in their teams’ favor. It is increasingly getting difficult to chase down par scores. Bowlers are making good use of the conditions in their favor. Week seven of IPL 2022 witnessed effective bowling performances.

#10 Andre Russell (17)
The KKR all-rounder is having a memorable tournament. He singlehandedly won the game for KKR against SRH. Russell’s bowling though underrated has been invaluable this season. He has bagged 17 wickets in 13 games at an average of 13.70. His economic rate of 9.25 is on the higher side. But his strike rate of 8.88 is phenomenal.
#9 Avesh Khan (17)
After missing a couple of games, Avesh Khan made a roaring comeback this week. He has 17 wickets in just 11 games. His average of 18.35 is pretty decent. He is economical (7.86) while his strike rate of 14.00 is quite good.
#8 Umran Malik (18)
He has jumped two spots this week to finish at number eight on this list. Umran Malik has 18 scalps so far in 12 games. His average (22.05) and economy rate (9.02) are both on the higher side. Malik’s strike rate of 14.66 is impressive.
#7 T. Natarajan (18)
The SRH pacer dropped two spots this week to be ranked number seven. T. Natarajan has picked up 18 wickets so far in just 10 games. He averages 19.22 with the ball. His economy rate of 8.87 is high but he largely bowls at the death. His strike rate of 13.00 is superb.
#6 Kuldeep Yadav (18)
Kuldeep Yadav has slipped up a bit from being a purple cap contender in the last couple of weeks. He is currently ranked sixth on the bowling charts. Kuldeep has picked up 18 wickets in 12 games at an average of 20.66. His economic rate has improved slightly to 8.71. His strike rate though has increased to 14.22.
#5 Harshal Patel (18)
He is back in the purple cap reckoning. Harshal Patel picked up a four-wicket haul against PBKS. It has helped him jump up the charts this week. He has bagged 18 wickets so far in 12 games at an average of 19.44. His economic rate of 7.72 is fantastic. Patel’s strike rate though has increased to 15.11.#9 Mohammad Shami (15)
#4 Mohammad Shami (18)
His T20 credentials have seen a renaissance this year. Mohammad Shami has been instrumental to Gujarat Titans’ stupendous success. He has picked 18 wickets in 13 games at an average of 21.61. His economic rate of 7.62 stands out. Shami strikes every 17 balls.
#3 Kagiso Rabada (21)
He played a crucial role in PBKS’ important win over RCB. Kagiso Rabada stands tall at number 3 in the top-wicket takers’ list at the end of this week. He has scalped 21 wickets in just 11 games at an average of 16.38. His economic rate of 8.39 is quite high. But his strike rate of 11.71 is flat-out brilliant.
#2 Wanindu Hasaranga (23)
The RCB spinner, Wanindu Hasaranga briefly held onto the number one spot this week. He has picked up 23 wickets in 13 games so far. Hasaranga averages 14.65 while conceding runs at just 7.48 (best on the list). His strike rate of 11.73 is outstanding too.
#1 Yuzvendra Chahal (23)
The RR spinner tops the charts for the sixth week running. Yuzvendra Chahal reclaimed the numero uno spot from Hasaranga at the end of the match against LSG. Chahal has bagged 23 wickets from 13 matches at an average of 16.83. His economic rate of 7.76 has seen a slight increase. He strikes once every 13 balls.
