IPL 2021:BCCI President Saurav Ganguly Has No Answers To The Spread Of COVID-19 In The Bio-bubble

The Board of Cricket Council In India (BCCI) were forced to suspend the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. Many players including members of the staff got tested positive for COVID-19. The teams were under strict bio-bubble, however, even that couldn’t help their cause of staying away from the disease. The second wave of the lethal disease has hit India very harshly. It is reported that a couple of players and staff caught the disease while travelling from one stadium to another. While it is being said that KKR spinner Varun Chakravarthy might have got infected with COVID-19 when he visited a hospital to get checked up for his shoulder injury.

IPL 2021: Saurav Ganguly Speaks About The Bio-bubble Breach

BCCI president Saurav Ganguly talked about the mayhem which happened in the bio-bubble. Ganguly stated that the rules and regulations of the bio-bubble were not breached by any player of the staff member. He stressed on the fact that it is very difficult to point on the cause of the spread of the COVID-19 in the bio-bubble.

“The report we got is that there’s no breach of the bubble. How it happened is very difficult to say. How so many people are getting (infected) in the country is also very difficult to say,” said Ganguly in a chat with The Indian Express.
