Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batting consultant Sanjay Bangar said that leading wicket-taker Harshal Patel will come back stronger in upcoming IPL 2021 matches and learn from the last over against Chennai Super Kings. Ravindra Jadeja scored colossal 37 runs of last over bowled by Harshal Patel. Harshal bowled a total of 7 deliveries inclusive of no-ball.
IPL 2021: Sanjay Bangar Speaks About Patel’s last over
Sanjay Bangar gave his views on Harshal Patel’s last over in a virtual press conference after Match 19 of IPL 2021. “He’ll learn from it, and he is somebody who is very hard on himself. He will obviously assess as to what were his plans which went wrong and whether he could have done something different,” Sanjay Bangar said.
Harshal Patel was excellent in his first 3 overs conceding only 14 runs and picking up all 3 important wickets of Suresh Raina, Faf Du Plessis and A Rayudu. But Ravindra Jadeja changed the fortune completely in last over and it was no fluke by CSK all-rounder.
Sanjay Bangar Praised Jadeja For His All Round Performance
“Yeah, he (Jadeja) has gained a lot of confidence since he started playing regularly in Test format, and then he kept on making contributions to the team’s cause even overseas. He has grown as a batsman,” Bangar said at the post-match press conference.
“And we all knew that he had fantastic potential because he is someone who has already scored three triple hundreds in domestic cricket. So, it is good to see that he is expected to the Indian team’s cause and for CSK as well. Because he was the game-changer today and all credit to Chennai Super Kings for having outplayed us tonight, ” added Bangar
With MS Dhoni experience of playing on Indian pitches and CSK players confidence in all the 3 departments on the field, they look like serious contenders to win the IPL trophy this year.
