Meanwhile, the latest findings indicate that Gill has healed from his injury and will be ready to play when the IPL 2021 2nd phase begins in September. The Punjab batsman has improved and is presently in the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, according to a close source familiar with the situation.

“Gill is in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and has recovered from his shin pain. He will be departing for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) soon for the IPL. He has been at the NCA for a week now,” according to source.

In England, Gill’s shin discomfort had become a severe problem. However, considering that he has been working in the fitness center for some time, according to his Social media, the healing has been done appropriately.

So when BCCI revealed Gill’s ailment last month, there had been a strong signal that indicated he had difficulties with his left lower leg. For the first Test versus England, India had to bring in Prithvi Shaw as a substitute opener, with KL Rahul beginning the innings with Rohit Sharma. Considering very well KL Rahul has played in the current series in England, Gill may have difficulty returning to the Test XI.

For the time being, Gill will focus on doing well in the IPL 2021 in order to have a chance of joining the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2021. Following the conclusion of the IPL 2021, the global tournament will be held in the UAE.
