Whereas the majority of the international players are ready for the remaining 31 IPL matches, a few more England and Australian players have chosen to sit out for many prospects. Buttler is one of them, and he is also having his 2nd kid, therefore he wishes to remain with his family. Stokes, from the other side, is taking a break from the sport and may even make a return in the T20 World Cup.

Lewis is likely to have his entry as a substitute for Buttler at the top of the lineup, as far as substitutes go. In the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the lefty was a member of the Mumbai Indians. He has 430 runs at a strike rate of 131.1 in 16 matches, including two ’50s.
Oshane Thomas is on his 2nd spell with the Royals in the IPL, having previously played for the team in the 2019 season. Given the strong showing, he was sacked after taking 5 wickets in 4 games. This is yet another opportunity for Thomas to show off his bowling skills in a prestigious league.
The Royals had previously recruited Tabraiz Shamsi, the World No. 1 T20I bowler, as Andrew Tye’s substitute, and New Zealand batsman Glenn Phillips as Jofra Archer’s replacement in the team for the duration of the IPL 2021.
The Sanju Samson-led team is still in the quest for a playoff berth. However, they will have to perform really well in order to make this happen. The Royals are presently in 5th place in the points standings, having won 3 of their last 7 games.
