“The 2014 England tour [lowest career point]. As a batsman, there is a moment when you realize you are going to lose because you are not going to get runs. I used to wake up, thinking I was going to fail. It was the worst I have ever seen. It has been difficult. I told myself I would never allow myself to let that happen.
“This happened because I was too obsessed to perform well from a personal perspective. I felt I was in England, and it was Test cricket, so if I make runs here, then I’m going to set up myself. All the thoughts overwhelmed me, and this led to my downward fall, “Kohli was quoted as saying.
Kohli Answered What Made Him Quit Eating Meat:
Kohli have been doing captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the thirteenth season of the Indian Premier League. But it postponed for coronavirus warning. In the year 2018, he grabbed the limelight for a lifestyle change.
Asked regarding Pietersen being vegan, Kohli replied what made him avoid meat-eating, and how this move enabled him to become a better athlete.
“Left consuming meat right before the England Test series in 2018. I got a cervical spine problem as we moved to South Africa in 2018. It gave me a sense of tingling and pain like crazy. Unable to sleep every night.
“My body became so acidic because it created so much uric acid. Bones became thinner. So, I left eating meat in the middle of the England tour, and I felt better like never before. Never felt that much good while waking up, never felt that much good recovering between Test matches. Being a vegan has completely changed me. Your body changes and you feel lighter and better.”Kohli said.
