India Tour ‘Nine Out Of 10’ Chance Of Taking Place- Kevin Roberts

Australia Could Still Undertake Their limited-overs Trip To England- Kevin Roberts

Kevin Roberts, chief executive officer of Cricket Australia, gave India a “nine out of ten” chance happening later this year to resume its tour in this pandemic.

There was also a possibility that Australia could still make a limited trip to England, originally scheduled for July but now in September.

The India tour, with a sum of A$ 300 million attached, is crucial for the financial future of Cricket Australia. The BCCI ‘s journey involves four Tests and three ODIs, which means that there may be more than one day, even though India is obliged to quarantine on its arrival.

The hope remains that the Australian summer will see no crowds and a small number of venues used to promote bio-security initiatives will still take place by internationals.

I don’t think there is such certainty in the world of today that I can’t say 10 out of 10, but I’m going to say 9 out of ten, “said Roberts to media.” If the question is, whoever will know if there will be a lot of crowds… I’d be surprised if we couldn’t get the Indian tour away. Yet from the beginning, we have full crowds. CA Is In Regular Conversations With The ECB as They Plan For Bio-Secure Series:

It may also happen that the men’s team of Australia resumes playing abroad with Roberts not excluding the prospect of a tour of England. As CA plans to start a bio-secure sequence in July and August against West India and Pakistan, it conducts daily discussions with the ECB.

“I think we should send a team over,” said Roberts. “The health of players should not be compromised, of course, but the best measure of all this is that we have to go to England in the Western Indian and Pakistan before we go on our tour.

It is doubtful that the T20 World Cup will take place at the beginning of the Australian season in October and November. There will be more ICC negotiations later this month with the hope, maybe a 12-month delay, that it will go some direction in 2021.

Afghanistan is expected to visit Australia in November for a one-off trial, but whether it will remain in schedule remains to be seen. In the Northern part of Australia, there were also scheduled limited series against Zimbabwe in August, which was still not officially declared. But it wasn’t expected to happen since Darwin will be the first-moment cricket resume in Australia next month.
