IND VS WI : Kohli’s Epic Reaction After Hitting Six Off Williams In 3rd T20I

Team India was asked to bat first in the third T20I match against West Indies Team in Mumbai. The Indian Team hit the ground running from the word go. With their arrangement of being careful in the opening few overs, the opening batsmen launched an all-out attack on the West Indies bowlers. The vice-captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul started the onslaught and the final push was given by the Indian Team skipper Virat Kohli, who was in his peak form.

There has been an interesting facet throughout the series, which is the continuing rivalry between The Indian Skipper Virat Kohli and West Indies Bowler, Kesrick Williams, one of the most entertaining things to watch in India’s three-match T20I series against West Indies Team. The rift between Virat Kohli and Kesrick Williams continued in the decider match also but the bowler started well against the Indian skipper while Kohli soon started hitting him well. It was the fourth ball of the 18th over where Williams angled the ball, making Kohli stay put and allowing him to use his bottom hand to hit the ball high and mighty over with deep mid-wicket. Kohli then stared at the ball and then looked at the bowler and let out a massive yell with his wide eyes. It was an answer both with the bat and then with his words. The Indian skipper was just determined at night.

At the end of the match, the captain said that they had spoken about batting first and then winning the match in this format.

“We spoke a lot about the batting first and then winning. It was about going out there and performing. I was within the zone and I carried on. Told KL Rahul, he needs to bat long and hold one end. It was a very special inning and also being our second wedding anniversary, it was a special gift. It was a special night and one of the best innings I have played. And when we chose to bat first and then we won it feels really good. I know I can contribute in all three formats.”
